Looking Forward……29th October 2012
Over the coming weeks 750 young women from colleges in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity will begin their final exams and complete their secondary education.
The colleges are:
Mt St Michael’s College, Ashgrove, Queensland
St Vincent’s College, Potts Point, New South Wales
Bethlehem College, Ashfield, New South Wales
Bethany College, Hurstville, New South Wales
Catholic Ladies College, Eltham, Victoria
St Columba’s College, Essendon, Victoria
Small cards (purse size) have been printed for each of these Year 12 students. The cards have the image and quote opposite, some words of encouragement and the promise to the students of the prayerful support of the Sisters of Charity over the coming months as they begin this new phase in their lives. We have especially asked that our senior sisters remember the students in their prayers as they are our ‘powerhouse of prayer.’
We pray for these young women, who have experienced the Sisters of Charity history, traditions and Service of the Poor. May they, throughout their lives, by their service, advocacy, and empowerment be a ‘friend of the poor’…wherever that is and to whoever is in any sort of need.
Please join the Sisters of Charity in praying for these young women and their families at this time, which can be both stressful as well as hope filled and full of possibilities.
