The Religious Sisters of Charity, a religious congregation of women dedicated to working with the poor, vulnerable, and marginalised, was founded by Mary Aikenhead in Ireland more than 200 years ago – but the current Congregations are utilising the latest in digital technology to tell her story.
The founding Congregation in Ireland has developed an app, In the Footsteps of Mary Aikenhead.
Free and downloadable, In the Footsteps of Mary Aikenhead follows in the path of her life and times in Cork and Dublin, Ireland. It was launched in July 2015, bringing the story of our Foundress to a new audience in the bi-centenary year of the founding Congregation.
