Congregational Archives
PrintThe Congregational Archives of the Sisters of Charity of Australia is the central repository for the archival records, rare books, and museum objects accumulated by the Congregation and its members, as well as related persons and organisations.
The records and objects are preserved as evidence of the establishment and life of the Congregation.
They document the foundation, the government and administration of the Congregation, the religious lives of its members, and the ministries undertaken by the Congregation or individual members in Australia and overseas.
While essentially a private archive, applications for access for research purposes can be made to the Archives Manager.
Visits to the Archives are by appointment only. Fees could apply.
We encourage you to visit our blog to learn more about our pioneer Sisters in the early NSW Colony.
