The outpouring of love from the staff at the St Vincent’s in Sydney was almost overwhelming as news spread that Sr Anthea Groves rsc was finishing her ministry on the Darlinghurst campus.

Her door (see below) was festooned with notes, post-its and letters to remind Sr Anthea of how much she was loved and appreciated, and how valuable her 54-year ministry has been to so many.Sam said succinctly in his farewell note (see below): “(Yesterday) will be one of the saddest this campus has had… you will be missed dearly and never forgotten.”As she left the building and her role as the patient liaison officer for the final time on Wednesday, December 20, well over 500 people – from the cleaning staff to the medical teams – gave her a guard of honour. Sr Anthea’s farewell from St Vincent’s Health Australia – video
