A snapshot of the 2018 Congregational Gathering
PrintSixty-six Sisters of Charity of Australia met for four days in June in Sydney for a Congregational Gathering. Here, they reflected on the Chapter mandate from 2014, and discerned the major issues which reflect the charism of the Sisters of Charity of Australia… including Service of the poor.
It was a time for re-connection for the Sisters, of remembrance, and of consideration of what they would face as apostolic, religious women in the coming years.
As well, it was time to update the photographs of the Congregation gathered together for this special event in the life of the Sisters of Charity, so photographer Tim Bauer and his assistant Lauren Trompp were invited to shoot the group of Sisters who attended, and also to update the head shots of the Sisters who wanted that service. The results for the Congregational Leader, Sr Clare Nolan, can be seen on this post.
You will find the group shot on the main page of the website and here on the Who we are landing page.
More than 50 did, and many of them will be featured in the next edition of the Sisters’ quarterly publication, Keep In Touch.
