Inaugural Masses of Thanksgiving for Benefactors and Donors

Print

On Sunday, October 20, the Sisters, their benefactors and friends gathered for Masses of Thanksgiving in Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

These were opportunities for the Sisters to say thank you for the generosity and the support which the Congregation has been blessed to receive since they first arrived in Australia in 1838.

Throughout the years, the unstinting support of, and love for, the Sisters has flowed… without it, the Sisters of Charity of Australia would not have been able to build Mary Akienhead’s enduring legacy in health care, aged care, education, social services, and social justice which is synonymous with the Sisters and their charism – Love of the poor – and their motto, The Love of Christ Impels Us.

The inaugural Masses of Thanksgiving for Benefactors and Donors are just one way in which the Sisters are able to acknowledge the generosity of both benefactors and donors.
